Mouth watering Gajar Ka Halwa recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 kg carrots peeled and grated 
  • 1/2 cup milk 
  • 1/2 cup sugar, or slightly less 
  • 1/2 cup (100 gram) khoya roughly mashed 
  • 2 tbsp desi ghee 
  • Seeds of 2 green cardamom(choti elaichi)powdered 
  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts like almonds or cashews 
  • 1 tbsp raisins (kishmish)
Method
  • Mix grated carrots, sugar and milk in a big deep bowl. Microwave covered for 10 minutes.
  • Add ghee and khoya. Mix well. Microwave uncovered for 10 minutes. 
  • Add cardamom and chopped nuts. Serve hot decorated with nuts.
